Guy Crittenden grew up fishing and hunting on the Chesapeake Bay in Gloucester, Virginia. He raised waterfowl at his childhood home on the shores of the Ware River, crabbed in the shallows along the tidal sandbars, and learned about wildlife and the ways of watermen from his grandfather.
